Xiamen University (XMU), founded in 1921 by renowned patriotic overseas Chinese leader Mr. Tan Kah Kee, holds the distinction of being the first Chinese university established by an overseas Chinese individual. XMU has consistently ranked among China’s top universities under the national 211 Project, 985 Project and Double First-Class Initiative, which have been launched by the Chinese government to support selected universities in achieving world-class standing. Xiamen University of Technology
Xiamen University of Technology (National Code 11062) is a full-time public undergraduate university run by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government. It is located in Xiamen, a “high-quality, high-appeal, modern, and international” garden city by the sea. Xiamen University of Technology is authorized to confer bachelor’s and master’s degrees. It is a key construction university in Fujian Province, a Class A first-class applied construction university in the province, and a project construction unit for cultivating doctoral degree-granting institutions in the province. Minnan Normal University
Minnan Normal University is a key construction university in Fujian Province, a provincial first-class university, a national first-class professional construction university. It has a complete talent training system for undergraduates, masters, and doctors. It is approved by the Ministry of Education to recruit international students. In order to promote Minnan culture (Southern Min culture), the university offers degree and non-degree programs for international students who are interested in Chinese culture and want to promote cultural exchange between China and other countries.
